New Year resolutions won’t help old health woes, But a change in lifestyle will !!

Every year we vow to sleep better, eat better, exercise more and generally give our health more priority, but most of us fail to achieve the milestone we aim for.

Our weight issues keep us worried, our stamina continues to deteriorate, and our health continues to suffer.
The work will never end, but one day our life will. Treating our bodies like a temple is as important as other priorities and commitments in one’s life.
It’s never too late to change our habits, and by establishing a healthy lifestyle now, we shall continue to reap the long-term rewards in future. Have a glance of the below mentioned tips to help understand and master our health.

WE ARE, WHAT WE EAT? Food and Nutrition are not synonymous. You are not nourished by the food you eat, but by the amount of food you digest and assimilate. Maintain healthy habits of eating and exercise so that digestion and assimilation are maintained intact. A growing body of research shows that fruits, vegetables, sprouts and nuts are critical in promoting good health. They contain essential vitamins, minerals, amino-acids, essential fatty acids and fiber that are easily digested and protect us from chronic diseases. So, revitalize your life with good amount of servings of fruits and vegetables a day.

FAST-ONCE A WHILE– Every office, company and school is given one holiday in a week for rest. But do we give rest to our 24 hour functioning system-the Human system?? By fasting once a week, the body will get sufficient opportunity to concentrate all its energy towards repair and maintenance and eliminate all accumulated waste and toxins through the eliminatory and defense mechanisms .The Body will clean and purify it-self.

DRINK AT LEAST 8-12 GLASSES OF WATER A DAY– Though water aids digestion and elimination, it should not be taken with meals as it may disturb the normal process of digestion and speed normal transit time.

AN HOUR A DAY OF EXERCISE– To correct the energy imbalance due to inactive lifestyle, it’s important to maintain an effective level of activity. Increasing the level of physical activity will not only decrease the amount of fat your body is carrying, it will also improve immunity and overall fitness. There are many forms of exercise, and each type has its own advantages and disadvantages. Whatever you choose, remember to find fun along the way.

REST, SLEEP and RELAXATION– The fundamental need of body Rest, sleep and relaxation are often taken for granted, even if the body begs for them. Set aside significant portions of your day or take that needed vacation to re-energize. It may not always be easy, but it can be done.

LEARN TO BREATHE RIGHT AND DEEP-Deep breathing raises levels of blood oxygen, promoting health in many ways — from stimulating the digestive process to improving fitness and mental performance. Without sufficient oxygen, your body becomes more susceptible to health problems. So learn the techniques to breathe right and deep and improve your lung capacity for longevity.

LAUGHTER IS THE BEST MEDICINE-Humor is infectious. When laughter is shared, it binds people together and increases happiness and intimacy.. Read something humorous or watch a funny video and most important try to find ways to take ourselves less seriously.

BE CAUTIOUS against health damaging habits of smoking, poor dental hygiene, junk foods, alcohol, unprotected sex, heavy drinking including tea, coffee, aerated drinks and environmental pollutants.

Your health is very precious. Take the steps necessary to protect and preserve it. Remember, you are the ONLY YOU, you’ve got.  And If, for any reason you become a victim of disease, your body itself can fix it provided you assist it in identifying and eradicating the cause meanwhile, support it with the right therapeutic measures to improve its healing capacity- THE VITALITY
